That is my question, trying to open safari and getting message above
You need Wi-Fi connection to your router on a iPad Wi-Fi model and 3G/LTE provision on a iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
Do you have one of those?
I think we can assume that the OP does have a wi-fi connection but he's getting this message. It happens to me when I'm at my daughter's house - old Windows-friendly router. I have to turn off wi-fi and then turn it on again and it works fine. Doesn't happen at home with Apple router.
