First make sure you are connected to wifi and location services for maps is on. If it still can't determine location, it is probably because of your internet service provider (ISP).

Some ISPs do not allow you to find the location or it does not support finding the location. Try some other wifi hotspots and see if it works. If it doesn't I recommend going to the Genius Bar

I hope this helps

Leon C., your ISP has nothing to do with locations services.

For location the iPod uses the locations of nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's database. Apple adds routers using ifnormation obtained from iPhones and maybe iPods with a cellular radio.

iOS 5: Understanding Location Services

For talhakhan99, dos Maps show your correct location when connected/nearby other routers such as Starbucks or McDonalds?

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Power off and then back on the router

- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

Map cannot determine location..
