Q: Can not import files from internal HD

I just tested - the name alone does not make a difference.

The file system on the card of my camera (Lumix FZ28) is probably different from yours. I only see DCIM and MISC folders, no PRIVATE. So I faked a PRIVATE folder, but that did not make any difference.

My Aperture did show me all files, and also the "Store" option was there.

Something must have happened, when you renamed the folder. Did you have to enter an admin password?

Is there any differnce if files are dragged fron the camera or copied

or transfered with "picture capture"  I am not sure of its English name, translated from Swedish..

I think you mean "Image Capture" -

Image Capture is designed to understand the filesystem on the card, so there may be a difference. The Filesystem on the Card is probably not Mac OS X Extended, and if you simply drag the folders, the wrong ownership may be copied.

A little extra question do You use any program to clean up for example leftovers from uninstalled old programs etc??

I don't use uninstaller applications. Most applications that need special uninstalling will include a dedicated uninstaller, all others can simply be dragged to the trash. Have a look at this thread.

Generally, cleaner applications are unneccessary with the newer MacOS X versions. Your Mac does most of the cleaning automatically; and many cleaner apps can be risky, for they will point you to locations that you better not modify.

Well 98% solved but all my oldies are imported with this structure and working as is but I can´t work with new imports from them...Rename all oldies and rereference all of it?? What a story Leonie!?

I cannot test your problem on my mac, since I cannot reproduce the problem. My Lumix cards behave differently.

What happens, when you create the folders manually from within MacOS X:

Create a folder "LX 5 ...." with the subfolders DCIM and MISC, just like shown in your screenshot and add a folder "PRIVATE".

Then drag some images from the folder that is causing problems to your new folder. Can you see the images now in the Import Panel?

If that works - then I'd recommend to drag the images to your set of custom folders when importing, and not to drag the complete filestructure from the card.
