I dropped my iPhone on its back yesterday so the back has a crack but when I picked it up and pushed the power button nothing happened its just off, so I put my earphones with a remote and clicked the button on the earphone to play music and the music played, my phone vibrates and ring when I get a text an call, Siri goes on but the screen just stays off. I was wondering what happened, maybe a ribbon came loose or something?
Yes the LCD ribbon cable connector can come loose with hard impact to iPhone. This is more common with iPhones which have had the front replaced, because the new screen often does not have the stock Apple cushion pads installed. However, hard impact to iPhone can outright break LCD which could be the problem too.
The LCD has been replaced because I changed the color of my whole iPhone to orange so the ribbon may have come loose? Because the screen is just off like its powered off it doesnt go on for anything no white screen or no faint black screen like when some people drop their iPhone. Mine I just off.
what steps do you have to take to have the lcd cables reconnected, besides opening the back of the iphone 4s? I dropped my iphone 4s like 2 weeks ago and the iphone works fine, but it is green tinted all over the screen? any suggestions would be nice (except replacement)
Try looking somewhere like ifixit.com for advice on this. The iPhone is not considered user servicable. If you open it yourself, you will forfeit your right to a discounted out of warranty replacement.
Yep. Then the LCD Display connector must simply be pressed back into place on the Logic Board.
Okay I will open it and hopefully it just needs to be reconnected
