How do I remove applejack from OSX 10.8

There is no AppleJack with Mountain Lion. Did you install this at some time in the past? It only runs if you invoke it from single-user mode. Otherwise, it just occupies a little disk space. If you read through the AppleJack documentation, I believe it explains how to remove it completely.

Go to this URL in Apple Suport. I followed the instructions using Terminal and it successfully removed Applejack for me.

sudo /private/var/root/Library/Scripts/applejack.sh uninstall

Enter your admin password at the prompt and press the return key.
