iPhone 5 volume down button not working after upgrade to OS 6.0.1

Just upgraded daughters new iPhone 5 from 6.0 to 6.0.1

Now volume down is not working. Rebooted phone, but no success.

Anyone have any ideas?

restart, reset, restore as new, then replace

Thanks bhazel, Tried restart, resets are next. I was hoping there was some work around someone had discovered.

It's kind of strange.. I upgraded a 4S and an iPad (gen 4) without issue.

its most likely somthing with the ios downloaded to the one device

follow up:

The problem had nothing to do with the OS upgrade. It appears that the problem was in the button itsself. Phone replaced under warrantee. All is good.
