Why will iTunes not work on my computer?

I cannot get iTunes to work on my desktop computer. I had a crash some time ago and think it may have to do with a missing driver. I hope someone can help me with this problem. I can access iTunes on my laptop but it is not convenient.

I have the exact same issue going on...we just updated the iTunes version to 11.0.0.63 (I think that is the correct version) and the application disappeared. I tried to repair the program, then tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I'm at a complete loss right now and am totally frustrated. What is going on and why is the actual iTunes.exe not even running if I attempt to run it directly from C: Drive?

Sorry I took so long to reply. Other things have been taking priority.

First of all I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes again and it still doesn't work. Here's the message I get:

"We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unknown error occurred (-1202). There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later."

So, it turns out that our issue was resolved once I downloaded Quicktime for our PC. Not sure why that did the trick, but it did. So, if you are having issues with your iTunes not opening up and it is installed and you have not had any success with repair or uninstalling and reinstalling, make sure you have Quicktime installed. Seems silly that Quicktime is required, but whatever...just happy that iTunes is working again.
