My new IPad mini has poor wifi reception. Goes in and out. My IPod, IPhone, Ipad1 and Ipad2 work finer. I think it has wifi antenna issues. Does anyone else have this problem?

Try updating to the new software iOS 6.01. That fixes the wifi issues.

Try resetting your network settings by settings>general>reset>reset network settings

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.

Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. In rare instances when using the Camera Connection Kit, you may notice that iPad does not charge after using the Camera Connection Kit. Disconnecting and reconnecting the iPad from the charger will resolve this issue.

Mine has fine Wi-Fi reception. Try resetting your router.

Mine has had problems too. I've been in different WIFI networks and my iPad 3 and iPhone are faster than the Mini. Tried to reset network settings, but that hasn't helped.

Oh and Tex, how did your post apply to this thread?

I also noticed that the wifi download speeds on the Ipad Mini is considerably slower than an ipad 2 connected to the same network. My Ipad 2 is on version 5 of the software. I've tried the suggested remedy but did not help.

Seeing the exact same issue here. Compared it to my iphone5 and ipad2. Range is much shorter and speeds are slower from the same distance. Btw, I'm on 6.0.1.

Same wifi issues. Ipad2 and Mini both on 6.0.1. I sit at my living room table and stream music from macbook pro. Mini just can't do it. Bounces from full strength to no strength. On the mini, I can listen to about 5 seconds of a song, then it stops, then starts a little later etc. IPAD2 streams the music perfectly, and consistant signal strenth in the exact same location. Something is wrong with the Mini's wifi for sure.

Same problem with mine (BLK 32GB). At first I thought it was my Time Capsule but it wasn't. After several hours trying to figure it out I returned mine to the store yesterday for a refund.

Count me in as having the same problems. I have 6.01. I have reset the netwrok settings. I have erased all content and settings. I have restarted my Time Capsule router. I have restarted my modem. I compared the reception to my MacBook Pro and my iPad 3rd gen, both of which get normal reception.
