Can't Import Photos

I am running the most current version of Aperture. I am trying to import raw files from a Nikon D600. The files are viewable in Finder and I can open them with no problem in Lightroom 4. I can import and view pix I took today with no problem, but these files on my hard drive are not recognized in the import dialogue box with I try to get them into Aperture. Any thoughts? Settings I need to change? Thanks in advance for any help.

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.1), Nikon D7000, Aperture 3, CS4

First make sure the sections File Types and RAW+JPG Pairs aren't excluding RAW files. These sections appear in the right-hand column of the File➞Import window. If they don't show, click the "Import Settings" drop down, and select them.
