How to find
Entering a QuickTime Pro registration key in Mac OS X for 10.8.2 to register Quicktime. I've BOUGHT it and can't register? It doesn't show a Quicktime in system preference?
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)
Open QuickTime Player 7 app (Utilities folder) and look under its menu for Registration.
Thank you. I've worked this out and TYPE every letter one by one and quit. then open. it worked.

Apple are very lazy in giving instructions and it came with OS X v10.6 and OS X v10.5, nothing for OS X v10.7 or OS X v10.8? I've OS X v10.8.2...I'm baffled. I don't need a mind game. I just want a job done.

The instructions found at URL http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3678 are up-to-date since they refer to QT 7 v7.6.6 which is compatible with all versions of the Mac OS X v10.6.3 and later—including Lion and Mountain Lion.

Sorry it is too late for the later additions for up to date instructions and it should have come with the email when I've bought it and I've spent 3 hours looking for it. No wonder, I'm peeveed.

A valid point and one well worth mentioning in feedback. (I.e., links to current installation instructions—Windows, as well as, pre-/post Snow Leopard Mac operationg systems—could easily be included in the confirmation email.)
Yes, very easily indeed and it is a very simple admin work. I've bought OS X v10.8.2 with a same Apple log in details and password.
How come they don't have my up to date OS X v10.8.2 on file? I'n intruged.
I've emailed a feedback to Apple. I don't expect to hear from them as I never do.
