reading on ipad mini

How is the reading expirience on the ipad mini?

I would use the mini partially as a ebook reader and would like some feedback.

Thanks

I looks like I will be retiring my Kindle Touch (except for reading on the beach once a year). I much prefer the Mini for reading books using the Kindle app.

The Kindle is much clunkier. The highlighting on the Mini is easier. The Mini is more adjustable in terms of font size, type and screen brightness. The Mini is readable in bed with the lights out. The Mini is very holdable, but it is a little heavier than the Kindle Touch.

I haven't used one extensively (and not in the market), just a brief examination at Best Buy, but it seems that it would be fine. Text isn't quite as crisp as the 3/4 gen iPads since it doesn't have the retina display, but still quite usable. I don't find the size to be all that appealing (eyes are getting old, I guess😉), but I could see the appeal for some.
