lost Smart folders and keywords in iPhoto.....

Hi-I am not sure what happened last week with my iPhoto (9.4.2) but I lost all my keywords and Smart folders! I tried rebuilding with iPhoto Library Manager but those 2 things are still missing. My next step would be to restore from a Time Machine backup but how do I do that since I can't see Smart folders in the Pictures folder. Thank you so much for any help you can give me! Judy

You have to restore the entire Library with Time Machine. So locate the library at a date just before this happened and restore. If you have enough room to keep both versions of the library I would do so till you've confirmed that the restored version has all of your photos.
