Thanks for the tips! After following steps 1-3, I elected to choose step 4 and fix it myself. The whole process was a breeze, but I carefully prepared by watching tutorials and instructional videos. By the time I was ready to open up my iPod, I was already familiar with the internal workings of the gadget and what to expect.
