Issue with iMovie11 no longer accepting YouTube User ID for publishing to YouTube

Just tried to upload a movie to Youtube via iMovie11 share facility and get a response stating Youtube no longer accepts access using user ID. Login is now required via Gmail account, which iMovie doesn't appear to support.

Any suggestions how I get round this as I want to upload an HD film I shot and imovie was an easy way of doing this or is it a question of wating for an iMovie 11 update to cater for change introduced by YouTube?
