Does macbook pro (mid 2012) support screen resolution 1920 x 1200 (external)?

I have this monitor. But my Macbook pro (mid 2012) does not recognize it with the resolution 1920 x 1200. It only can recognize it with the resolution 1920x1080.

However, my old macbook pro (mid 2010) does support it with 1920x1200 resolution (OS X 10.7). Does anybody know why the newer macbook pro not support the monitor with 1920x1200 resolution? Thanks!
