I'm having a Mail.app problem. I backed up the whole Archive (Saved it to USB Drive) and wants to delete the whole thing and remove it from my system then re-install it.
How can I do it ?
I'm using Mac OS X 10.8 latest version - iMac Machine.

You can't reinstall Mail only. You must reinstall OS X. If you have a backup, press Command and R keys on boot, open Disk Utility, select Macintosh HD in the sidebar, erase the drive and reinstall Mountain Lion
Your question has been answered by mende1. However, I'd like to point out that it's fairly uncommon for reinstalling Mail to be the solution. You may very well go to all the trouble of re-downloading and reinstalling the system and find that nothing has changed. What problems are you having?

When i use Outlook, the date shows fine.
It seems that the system date does not restart every month with 1 !! So Feb 1st will show as Feb 32 !!

I can honestly say I have never seen, or even heard of, such a problem. I have no idea what might be causing that! Are you seeing this behavior anywhere else, or just in Mail? Does it show correctly or incorrectly in the menu bar, if you click on the clock (to see the full date in the menu that appears)?
System Preferences - Language & Text - Formats - Customize allows custom date/time formats which can include the day of the year...
If say, one of the date formats was altered to include that - Mail might show it, while say Finder & other apps use a different, longer/shorter format, without the added day of the year. choosing a different region, or inspecting the 'custom' region, should indicate if that's the case here.
Thomas, I had this problem since 2006 (i moved all my email data from my Dell Laptop to Apple) and ever since it has haunted me. It is only in email and iPhoto. All other dates are correct.
