I have a new 13" retina MBP. Find my Mac works when the computer is on, but not when it is turned off . I've also noticed that Power Nap also does not seem to be working properly. I've already reset the SMC, but this did not work.

No, your MBP needs to be ON for Find My Mac to work - won't work if it's off.
Not sure why you're having trouble with Power Nap - you might want to contact AppleCare just in case it's something endemic to the new 13" Retina.

I should clarify. When I meant "off," I should have said "sleeping."
I'm 99% sure that it won't work while sleeping - it has to have an Internet connection up and running in order to find the machine.

I think this support document indicates that it's supposed to work, even when the Mac is sleeping:
Oh - that's when in Power Nap - I don't have PN on my computer, so I suppose that Find My Mac would work when using Power Nap - but you say that Power Nap is not working?
