Shared calendar - sending external invites from wrong apple id

I set up an event from a calendar I happen to share with someone. I invited some friends, who don't have share access.

On their emails it stated that the invite was sent from the person I share with, not me. Why did it pick up their id and not mine? The calendar is mine, although shared, thanks
