"and not very helpful. No doubt this will also be deleted."

Astute observation. Define "helpful", explaining how your posts are so.

How is yours "helpful"? Answer: it's not. By that token, yours should also be deleted. My posts were more "helpful" than those who kept crying "read the TOS"...

When the mods delete a post they start deleting the "parent" post. This means that if you did a reply to this parent, your posts are also automaticly removed ...

Since it was pointed out long ago that this issue is 100% about Apple buisiness decisions and policy, of which no one particpating in this forum has any direct knowledge let alone infulence, there is nothing further that can be posted that is "helpful" by any definitition of the word.

A first step the government passed the Act for access to 4G-LTE for all devices. See Apple's response

  • bennydirinck Level 1 (10 points)

What do you mean? Where can we see Apple's response???

  • inkhris Level 1 (0 points)

I misspoke. I wanted to say that I expect Apple reaction.

  • bennydirinck Level 1 (10 points)

Expect a reaction from Apple...? Your'e beard will be long and grey ...

    Kijk jongens,

A statement was issued that Apple will be forced open LTE for ALL carriers mid-April. Severe fines will be upheld in case of non-complience. Of course the question here is: will Apple, who have a considerable cashflow, care at all?

  • Dr Leiter Level 1 (0 points)

Very interesting. Who issued this statement?

  • Key78 Level 1 (0 points)

Also for me it would be very interesting where the statement comes from. @nick:mees please tell us your source!

Clear is that Apples LTE policy is a distortion of the free market of cellular providers. Seen in many countries. When i see the Belgium story my hope to find a solution for the german ePlus Network including the discount brands is disapearing.

  • SQ08 Level 1 (0 points)

Yep, as already mentioned, we got the same **** happenin to the German E-Plus network and as far as I've lately learned from my friend who works for E-Plus, Apple wants E-Plus to sign its contract but E-Plus refuses to do so.

Y'all know I assume that completely nuuuuthin is gonn happen when it comes to Germany, since the German o2 might fully acquire E-Plus very soon...I'm gonna keep on waiting. Hopelessly. It's is just for the birds.

I mean I do appreciate what the Belgian politicians have done in this case...at least they had the decency to pass the law etc, because apparently they are interested in it. That's dope, but I'm not sure about its effect and impact on Apple.

Excellent news: According to Belgium's Data News today, BASE customers will have 4G as from 02/05/2014.

BASE have done a deal through their parent company KPN with Apple to also be an official Apple reseller, thus breaking the Mobistar exclusivity.
