Duplicate instead of Save As is a real PITA

Maybe I am not alone, but I think that the change of the natural (and years lasting) command Save As to highly annoying process of Duplicate is one of the most unfortunate and uncomfortable thing that happened to the iWorks. It never stops messing (and I already messed and lost so many documents due to that). Sometimes I forget that I have to do this Duplicate first , do some changes, do Duplicate later but the changes I did are saved in the original document without being asked if I want to change the original (!!!) (that to my shock I always find later). I think it was SO BAD idea to create this instead of simple Save As. And I may stop using iWorks etc. just because of that - since it is so annoying and does not make any sense and does not bring any advantage in my opinion.

Savita,

The OS has changed and your best bet would be to change with it. You can't effectively fight it and it's easy to give in to it. Instead of typing the keyboard shortcut Shift-Command-S for Duplicate, type Shift-Option-Command-S for Save-As.

If you want to carry-on about this I suggest that you go to one of the extremely long threads where dozens of like-minded users have posted thousands of times with similar sentiments to yours.

Thank you . There is another small annoyance that happens regularly in Numbers (I am not sure whether it is again intention or just a bug): When you have one or more windows (sheets) open in Numbers and you want to open another file, you select it, give Open, it opens but not in the front but behind the present window, so you have to find there .. A bit uncomfortable (and unnatural ) it seems ?
