How do I sync iCal with iPhone/iOS 6?
Ever since I upgraded to iOS 6 I've been unable to sync my calendar. Events created on my MacBook (iCal, OS X 10.6.8) will upload to iPhone, but nothing created on the phone appears on the laptop. Frequently events are duplicated on the phone rather than being updated.
In addition, many "all day" repeating events that were created _long_ ago on iCal become one hour events on iPhone's calendar.
This occurs whether I connect via wifi or USB. I'm not using iCloud.
I'm operating fully within the Apple ecosystem and iOS fails to sync with the Mac OS. If the calendars won't sync, a HUGE function of iPhone is missing, and the device is lacks a major part of its functionality.
On occasion I've been able to sync once, usually by exporting iCal events, removing all iCal prefs, and then rebuilding my calendar. The next sync would work. Usually. But I don't think this is quite what was intended…
Contacts, Mail and other apps sync. Does anyone else experience this problem with their calendars?
Thank you.
