Upgraded to iOS 6.0.1, iPro Recorder & recordings are missing.

After upgrading my 4th gen iPod Touch to iOS 6.0.1, the app iPro Recorder no longer appeared. Installed it again from iTunes, but none of my recordings are listed. This is the app that I use the most. Can anyone help me trouble shoot? I do not know what the file extension would be to search for these voice recordings. Thank you!!

Try restoring from backup again. If you restore via computer/iTunes make sure that all the synced media like apps and music are in the iTunes library.

If you update or restore from backup via iTunes, all the synced media has to be in the iTunes library since the backup does not include synced media. If you update/restore from backup via iTunes and the apps are not in the iTunes library, the apps and their data will not be on the iPod after the update/restore

lllaass, thank you so much for your quick response! I unsuccessfully searched iTunes help for words like backup and restore. After giving it a rest and another search attempt, I just realized that the help menu is dependant upon the section highlighted...now you understand my level of technical skills :). I had/have the settings set to prevent automatic synchronization. Before I do the update/restore, can I manually back up the devise to iCouds or some other storage to keep the current few iPro recordings from being overwritten? Thank you for your kindness and patience.

Are you saying that you made some recording after you restored the iPod and lost the previous recordings?

Yes you can backup to iCloud. Those backups are independent of the iTunes backup.

Can you just email or export the recorinding?

You might be able to get the recording from the backup on your computer. See:

Brilliant of you to mention email the recordings...that would have been a perfect option, but cannot get that to work. Also, couldn't access the online manual for the app. After some searching, I learned that the parent company Bias-Inc recently went out of business. I was able to email a test recording using another alternate program (also on the device), iTalk.

I purchased the iPhone Backup Extractor and easily found the recordings listed under the Application's name as WAV files. They are now stored on my computer 🙂 THANK YOU!

New questions: I had thought that it would be a good idea to create a back to iCloud. However, a message appears that reads: "Your iPod touch will no longer back up to your computer automatically when you sync with iTunes." Is a backup created separate from the sync operation, or is the sync function the same as a 'backup'? I would still want the main backup to reside on my computer, I just thought it would be good to have a small portion of important data online in the event of a major catastrophe. Is it not possible to utilize iClouds this way and still use iTunes for a full backup?
