OK to unplug Airport Extreme every night or will that shorten its lifespan ?

I recently started renting out my bedroom and I now sleep in my living room very close to my AEBS . . . I could not get to sleep at all the first 3 nights so as an experiment I shut down my WiFi and went back to using ethernet cable from my modem . . . that definitely fixed the problem, I now sleep great so I guess I really am sensitive to WiFi . . . luckily right now my roommate does not need WiFi access but she will probably need it very soon as she plans on getting a MacBook Pro . . . I don't really need it for my iPad . . . so my question is will my AEBS burn out if I start using it every day again but unplugging it every night before bed ?

That shouldn't be a problem - but with electronics who knows for sure - if fact it may lengthen the life because it will be on for less hours - and you can also turn off the WiFi and turn it back on when you want to by using the Airport Utility and going to Wireless/Network and turn the Wireless Mode/WiFi Mode to "off" and update - do the opposite to turn it on - of course it is easier to unplug the Extreme so the choice is yours.
