built in speaker quality

hi, I'm just wondering about the speaker quality of the macbook pro. I'm gonna use it for listening music mainly and I just would like to know the quality of it. Well, probably the loudness too I would say. I have an imac G5 and I love the speaker on it. I think it has great speakers and it's loud enough as well. I expect the notebook won't have a speaker that good, but will it be loud enough in a small room? and the quality of it is ok right?

thanks so much

imac G5, Mac OS X (10.4.6)

I find that they're quite decent for their size -- keep in mind that enlarging the chamber behind the speaker isn't really an option for those of us who like small portable units 😉

In the mean time I've put in an order for a bluetooth stereo headset (there are a number of manufacturers including Motorola and jabber who make them) so I can walk away from my machine and still have audio.

Even tho I have other small toys, like Windows CE phones, and a Sony PSP, I still use my machine as a very large audio player. I managed to loose my shuffle somewhere -- I just hate when electronics get too small!

Golan.
