I tried to sync my iphone4 with itunes and lost all my contacts and calender information on the phone. Is there a way i can find them to put them back onto the phone?

The iphone is designed to be synced with your computer regularly.
Your contqcts/calendars will be in whatever program/service that you have been syncing.
If you have failed to sync them as the iphone is designed, then they are likely gone. You can try restoring from backup.

Read the User's Guide... it covers all basic functionality of the device such as restoring from a backup.

The User's Guide requires a PDF reader installed on the computer to work.
It is also available via Safari on the device.
