Q: Are there issues with dvi to hdmi cables for Mac mini?

Are there issues with dvi to hdmi cables for Mac mini? I had a cable from Amazon but it only gave me video for a few seconds and then no video input from my 60 inch tv. Issue with resolution or size of display?

    It is the cable. My 2010 mini works with the Apple HDMI-DVI adapter or a direct one piece HDMI to DVI cable.This is on a 17 in. Samsung monitor, but going  to a full size 46 in. LCD via HDMI is no problem.

     

    If you can get a connection long enough to get to Displays in Preferences then it might correct your sizing issues.
