Q: moving calendars to server account…

Yep, same happening to me. iCal now unusable on my laptop.

Me too. Calendars wouldn't sync so I unchecked Calendars and Reminders in System Preferences based on another thread, then this started and won't stop. How does this happen and why is there apparently no easy solution? Very dissapointed with Lion.

This was happening to me too. Did everything including re-installing Mavericks, doing troubleshooting steps from other posts, etc.

What finally did it for me was unchecking Reminders in iCloud settings. As soon as I did that, the "moving to servers" message went away. I turned calendars back on in iCloud settings and my calendars appeared in my Calendar app. I then turned Reminders back on in iCloud settings and did not get the endless "moving" message.

Not sure why Reminders was screwing this up, but that's what worked for me.

Thanks for the tip. I wish it was that simple. Reminders wasn't checked for me and it still won't stop the "Moving calendars to server account..." I ended up unchecking Calendars in iCloud preference pane and ended up losing data. So annoying. I've reinstalled Mavericks and it is still doing it.

Unchecking 'Reminders' in the iCloud settings also worked for me.  Whew!

Outstanding fix Scott! Easy and you can't blame apple for it being so easy everyone else is overthinking it!

I had this problem immediately after upgrading to El Captain. I turned off all iCloud items in the iCloud Preferences, which temporarily worked.

A couple of days later it started again. Out of desperation I signed out of iCloud and this fixed the problem.

I did the same, sign out of iCloud, and it worked. Anyway, iCloud is rather useless.

Unchecking reminders and calendars in Preferences, iCloud, did nothing to fix the problem.
