I have just taken delivery of a new ipad mini. When I connect to itunes it says my laptop is synced to my ipad 1, should i set up the mini as a new ipad or restore from the backup of my old ipad (which i will still be using.)
I would like all email setting, music etc imported onto my new ipad mini.

It probably makes sense to restore that backup onto your new iPad mini - that should copy all the apps, and their content, from your old iPad (assuming that it's a recent backup). You can then always remove any of the old content that you don't want on the new mini.
If you restore from the other ipad, will the two ipads be forever linked? Or will you be able to individualize the content on the ipad mini? For example, if the ipad mini has more room for photos and you want to put more on it than on the other ipad (that has less storage), will itunes recognize them as two devices making this possible?
