My iPod does not get music because I didn't finish downloading the music from my computer, so how do I reset it????

SOS I need help fixing my iPod but beside not downloading music nothing else is wrong so I don't get music other iPods have bought on my account

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6.0.1

What happens when you try to sync music from iTunes over to your iPod? Any error messages? If so, what is the exact wording of those error messages? Or does the iPod not appear in iTunes?
