Nov 8, 2012 3:51 PM in response to Julian Wrightby tkbales,That does help to know that they are 'The same account', and I do want to use the '@iCloud.com' address, but I have several folders and emails in the 'me.com' address (one in particular) and I'm wondering if there is a quick way to convert all of it or transfer all of it into the icloud account. If your answer is correct, and they are the same account, it should already be done, correct?

Nov 8, 2012 3:54 PM in response to tkbalesby Julian Wright,You don't need to convert or transfer anything. If you don't want to use this optional @icloud.com email address, just ignore it and do nothing.

Nov 8, 2012 6:24 PM in response to John Galtby jshilaire,That sounds nice, but these email addresses are tied to Apple IDs as in my case. I ended up having 2 Apple IDs with purchases from the App Store. Now if I switch to this icloud.com address how will that integrate with my apple ID. Receiving email is one thing, if that's what the only purpose of the email address is for, but that is not the case. They need to pick one and KEEP it, in addition to better integrating it with purchases made under that Apple ID.

Nov 9, 2012 1:25 AM in response to jshilaireby Julian Wright,Switching to the @icloud.com email address will not affect the AppleID you use for the AppStore in any way whatsoever.
The new @icloud.com address is part of the iCloud account which you currently have the same @me.com email address for.
Nothing at all to do with the AppleID(s) you use for iTunes/AppStore (unless you have the one and only AppleID you use for both).
At most you should have only two AppleIDs. One for iCloud (which iCloud syncing, and your @me.com/@icloud.com email addresses are attached to) and one for the iTunes/AppStore (which your app, music, movie etc purchases are tied to).
There has never been a reason for you to have multiple AppleIDs for purchases from the AppStore/iTunes Store.
