How to Export Contacts, Emails from Iphone 4 to Iphone 5?

Hi All,

I am using Iphone 4 (iOS version 4.1).

Today, I bought iphone 5 (iOS version 6.0.1).

I want to copy below things from iPhone 4 (iOS version 4.1) to iphone 5 (iOS version 6.0.1)

1) Contacts

2) Mail Accounts

3) Calendar

4) Music & Photos

If I can copy Contacts only then rest of all is OK....

Thanks in Advance

Hi randers4,

Thanks for the response.

But in this my problem is iOS 4 do not support iCloud.

Using iCloud to transfer information from your current iOS device to a new one

Above option will not work.

Using iTunes to transfer information from your current iOS device to a new one

I don't want to use above option coz i did this way first and it was eating lots of battery.

so i setup as a new phone and now battery is working fine.

Is there a way that i can export contacts in csv file from iPhone 4 (iOS version 4.1) and import that csv file in to iphone 5 (iOS version 6.0.1) ??

Any idea on this.

Thanks in advance

Hi randers4 & cheonweb

Thanks for the response.

Problem is that as I mentioned above i have iOS 4.1 and this app need 4.3 minimum.

I don't want to upgrade coz i have unlock for this iOS and I don't want to spend money on upgrading again.

BTW Is it possible that I can upgrade to 4.3 or 6.0 in place of 6.0.1 which is the latest iOS ??

Thanks in advance.

You would need to import a .csv file to a contact manager on your computer such as Outlook, then sync them to your phone. To import directly on the iPhone you need a vCard (.vcf) format. You would be far better off using the app that cheonweb recommended above, which will run on iOS 4.1, to create the proper format on your old phone that you can then email to your new phone.

Hi randers4,

Thanks for all your reply.

I am sure that your option will work also.

Finally, I made it as follows.

1) Upgrade iTunes to 10.7 so iPhone 5 can be sync. As we know, iPhone 5 can work on iTunes 10.7 or later.

2) On PC, Open iTunes. Go to Edit --> Preferences --> Devices --> "Check Prevent ipods, iphones and ipads from synching automatically"

3) Connect old iPhone 4 with iOS 4.1 to iTunes.

4) Took backup of iPhone 4 incase something goes wrong.

5) Click on Info. Then sync contacts with windows Contacts. Click Apply. Click Merge Info means that will merge my iphone contacts with windows Contacts.

6) Connect iPhone 5 with iTunes.

7) Click on Info. Then sync contacts with windows Contacts. Click Apply.

I am loving my iPhone 5 🙂🙂🙂
