Ibook data server password on client computer

Hi, i just set up a small office data server using a ibook g4 connected to some firewire hdds. When I went to the web browser on my other computer to type in the address that system preferences told me to type. It said to type in a password. I tried my mac password. No luck I tried my network password no luck what should i do?
