The message "this iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi." I did all these things but that message still won't go away. What should I do? I can't use my iPad at all.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! now i can use my iphone! i was so annoyed that i couldn't use it until the stupid message went away. tried to turn off the power but of course you can't slide the power off either, just like you can't slide to unlock your phone to get rid of the message. so many thanks (: i don't know why i didn't think of this strategy
Hi, I'm having the same problem with my ipad and I've tried restarting and resetting the ipad but the pop up still won't go away. I've tried hitting cancel or signing in and nothing happens
