Cannot open books in iBooks

Like what happens? Any books in particular? PDFs? etc.

Is the device registered in iTunes?

I had the same problem, what you need to do is Uninstall iBooks and reinstall it.

Yes, I did this and it worked fine after that. I also noted that ibooks is available for download as an Iphone ap or an Ipad ap. I believe it is the same ap, but that could also be the problem.

Is UNINSTALL the samer as DELETING? won't I lose all the books I already have?

If you can't open your books in iBooks, simply uninstall your iBooks app and reinstall it.

On my iPhone 5C with IOS 7.04 I reset all settings which corrected the problem.

I did everything. A hard reset, re-installed iBooks and still some books on my iPad will not load. Frustrating!! Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't see the option to open a PDF in iBooks

If you was to email the eBook as an attachment to the reader when you open the email you should be given the opportunity to open it as a PDF or in iBooks
