Move the application to the trash and redownload it from the App Store.

Thanks, I have found this on the "APPLE" support site; Final Cut Pro X: How to remove and reinstall Final Cut Pro X on; http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5149, which after reading through increased my trepidation ! Your directions are frightingly concise but Just what I needed..
