Aperture failed to download update 3.4.2, "use the purchases page to try again"is the message I get , when i press update it just tells me to go to purchases page ,but that is where I already am,and I have downloaded the update again and it won"t install ,any help appreciated. Thanks

Have you tried to delete the Aperture application entirely and reinstall it? You should be able to download the full application again if you bought it from the Mac App Store. Doing so will not affect any of the photo libraries you already have.
