Q: Desktop background settings change when using Fast user switching

On my MBP, I have my desktop settings set to shuffle backgrounds from a particular folder. I also have multiple user accounts on the computer. When I use Fast user switching to change users (or to even go to the login screen), when I return to the account, it's set to Solid Aqua Blue, instead of a background from my folder. If I want to use my backgrounds folder, I have to set everything up again.

The odd thing is that this doesn't happen if I let the computer go to sleep (I require a password to log back in), and change user accounts from there.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

after browsing around through the related posts (yay tagging!), I found one that made mention of TeamViewer causing this issue. I've turned TeamViewer off (it's still installed, but "start with system" is disabled in TeamViewer preferences), and I'm no longer observing this issue.

    Thanks go to this post.

I'd still like to figure out why this happens, though.

thanks, this was exactly my problem too and i never thought teamviewer was the application causing it.. i now turned off the option in teamviewer's settings that removes the wallpaper, hoping this continues to work as it has been so far now..

I am having the exact problem. please help as this is really annoying. Only happens when fast user switching the desktop reverts back to the default even though I have a different backgound on each account. If I log back out and then back in from the main login screen, the correct wallpaper shows up. This is on 2013 15" Macbook Pro with dedicated graphics.

Also worth mentioning that you need to restore your previous settings for your desktop yourself after having deactivated the "Start TeamViewer with System" in the TeamViewer preferences tab.

My desktop went pale blue after installing TeamViewer for the first time and I am using OSX 10.10.5 Yosemite.

Really bugs me that software developers have the nerve to override your own settings....Screen Shot 2015-09-27 at 14.14.48.png
