Garageband on original iPad won't work anymore

garageband won't open or update any thoughts?

iPad, iOS 5.1.1, garageband won't open or update

Have you tried to reset GarageBand?

Go to Settings, scroll down to the Apps section, select GarageBand, and toggle the "Reset GarageBand" switch to On.

thanks for getting back to me. I have tried it with the toggle on and off and it doesn't work either way. I get an "unable to download application" error message. Any other suggestions?

It is version 1.1(136.7)
