Same issue here, I updated to 6.0.1 a few days ago, and then last night my phone started having trouble connecting to the cellular network. I have now tried everything, network resets, re-installing, switching carriers... etc. There are only two steps I haven't tried yet. Downgradeing to 5.1.1 and getting a new sim. Thanks to this post I now know that if I turn wifi off I can actually connect to the network.

If after performing the user troubleshooting steps and you cannot connect, you can try to go into Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings, and see if that will correct it. If not, try another SIM card, or you can make contact with your carrier and have them check your account and see if there is a problem at their end. If there isn't, then the last step is to make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar to have the hardware checked.

I had no idea that apple had became so arrogant about what you do with your phone. iOS6 really is a royal mess up and I am still not convinced that it isn't the root of the issue, however I have done everything listed above more than once now so it sounds like paying for applecare actually paid for itself. I had no idea downgrading the software in a piece of hardware that I own, with software that they designed would be cause for voiding warranty. So thank you for clarifying.

I'm also not sure how I adequately explain that my network connectivity ***** and is sometimes non-existant when wifi is turned on.

Same problem here! Since I updated my iPhone 4 to iso 6.0.1 I can not connect to 3G. I can see that so many customers posted the same problem but what actually ****** me off is the fact that Apple wants me to pay for a service to fix a problem they created with their clueless Iso 6 update!!!! How is that fair Apple? How can u justify such an action? I have four devices ruined because of ur update and u want me to pay for all to be fixed!!! Pathetic

HI Apple,

All we want is t to know why there this issue started since upgrade to IOS 6/6.0.1 Earlier versions of IOS where working very smoothly without replacing SIM card or without having to restore again and again or any other methods to fix no service issue. Is it something wrong with this IOS version, if it is are you going to resolve in the coming release. It's matter of usage of Apple devices and that to on phone side we think a lot, as our business depends on it with LTE and other services used on phone.

We request you to look this matter ASAP so that we will be happy customers as before.

Thanks

I'm having the same issue with 2 IPhones connected to two with different carriers.

Both devices were factory unlocked by AT&T. I'm getting numerous "No Service", then "Searching" and after a few minutes its back to normal. Calls are being dropped, data connected (GPS) is disconnected when it happens.

I got one of the phones checked to see if there is any physical issue with the antenna, everything seems to be O.K. so I am pretty sure that this is an IOS 6.0.1 issue...

Could this be related to AT&T factory unlocked devices?...

HI Nemo69

dont think it has any thing to do with AT&T since I have the same problem and I have nothing to do with AT&T and actually the problem in my two phones started exactly after upgrading to iso 6.0.1 so it couldn't be a coincidence, it has to be the new upgrade software. The Q I keep asking myself with all the troubles I am in now cuz of this; WHY APPLE IS SAYING NOTHING ABOUT IT AND WHY WE CUSTOMERS KEEP BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS WITH THE LACK OF A GOOD AFTER SALE CARE???

I've had the same issue with cellular connection since upgrading to 6.01. Missed the 6.0 upgrade on the phone but my wife's phone got it and had the same problem. Wi-Fi works fine, just no cellular connection - any suggestions? Mine was complicated in trying to clear an old Apple ID off my phone through all the various applications.
