My ipad screen has turned to green!!!!

Yesterday, I had used my ipad on the flight mode while i was on the airplaine then shot down. It was ok, but today i tried to turned on, screen was green. I can see a little bit what is it behind the green but screen is never turn to normal. Green is keep going when i trying to shut down on the turn off mode.

I think this is just screen problem not hard disk problem because i can see a little behind the green.

What can i do, please help!!!!!!

lmao....Love the talk about physical abuse to get an electronic device working again...Glad it works, but I don't know I could work up the courage to try that.

Omg I never thought this work, I even called an apple representative and chatted with online and they totally said don't do that. However their option to fix it was a trip to their store and spend 250 dollars. No thanks. So I hit it and knocked and it didn't work. I was getting ****** and I slapped it a couple times on the back and when I turned it back around viola! It was fixed. It really works, better than spending 250 dollars for them hitting it in the right place

THIS WORKED! I just went to the apple store as my ipad2 turned pink/green. There was no other alternative given except to buy a new ipad. I saw this thread and hit the back several times with my hand and nothing. Then, I knocked the upper left corner on my knee...and VOILA! Normal screen! This just saved me at least $250!!!!!! Thank you all for even discussing this. I am very, very happy.

Thats what happend to me, i accidently droppped it and now it became green and other colours, it was all frizzly. Then i was so scared and did not dare to tell my family. So i search it up, it did not have really useful answers. I was thinking, it only happened when i dropped it, so perhaps drop it again? But i actually bang it on the floor a few time and it just became normal.

Just Bang Bang Bang it!

Ok so my screen did the same thing, and the hitting the back thing didnt work. In previous problems, my screen just wont turn on, so i just tried hitting the corners like usual but that didnt seem 2 work this time. So i started banging the sides on the floor and the screen wouldnt come on. I then hit the corners lightly and the screen was back to normal! I think just hitting it will help for practically everything because i talked to an expert to see how much t would cost and he said that the strip in the iPad that turns on the screen was just dislodged. Hitting th iPad seems to get it back in place.

Wow. I can't believe that pounding it on the back actually works.

I dropped my iPad 2 on the floor in its case and when I turned it on it was green. After turning it of, I could still see th images but it hand a green tinge and was fuzzy. Came across thread in my silent, desperate, private **** of searching from my phone. Left the room for a few minutes to thump the back and shazam, the thing was back to normal.

Thanks for saving this woman from a very public cursing rant or crying jag...it really could have gone either way.

This worked for me too. I tapped it really gently at first, then hit it a little bit harder with the palm of my hand, but it still didn't do anything. I was about to give up, but (admittedly, in frustration) I gave it one last firm slap on the back - and turned it on again - and the Apple logo was beautifully bright and white again!! No more fuzzy green!!!! Thank you!!!!

Hi well read this and had my doubts as I don't think the answer to fix something is to " hit it" but it worked!!!

I hit the back three , four times and nothing, then my girlfriend held it face up while smacking the back of it and TA DA!! I still don't believe this worked and kinda makes me nervous but ....yeah it worked!!so thank to all for this crazy advice!! : )
