My ipad screen has turned to green!!!!

hitting it a few times on the back worked for me too! Not usually what I would recommend but it went from green to red then normal after a couple of slaps on the back🙂. I am stoked not to have to go to the Apple store...(nothing agaist the Apple store...I love the Apple store, but not for repairs😕)

Mine turned green after a plane ride from AZ to MN and I thought it was history. Its been 1 month and I thought I would look online and found this thread. I hit it on the back 3 times without any good results. After reading hitting it in the upper left corner with your knee I gave it a try and the second hit did the trick. Everything is back to normal now. Thanks for the help!!

My screen is all green it keeps changing to red then blue but now its mostly green its happened before. last time I dropped it by accident and it was back to normal if you hit your screen not to hard it should go back to normal if this does not work leave it for a few minutes. (Resting your device will not work as its something with the screen) hope this helps

Dropped my **** iPad and got a green/purple screen and was ******. But Some angry guy that hit his green/purple screened ipad just saved me big money. I have an iPad 2 and gave it two good slaps above the charging port and what do you know back to normal. Thought this was BS but some how it worked, had to be a loose connection in the screen. Thanks again angry guy who hits messed up electronics.

Well I was on my moms iPad which im on right now, and I dropped it, it didn't break the screen or anything but it wouldn't turn back on, I started to panic and searched how to fix it. I began tapping and hitting the back of it over and over, as I began to freak out more. then it turned on but the screen was pink and green, so I continued hitting it, still nothing. then I did what u did, I smacked the top left corner on my knee and BAM, problem solved, thx!

This worked! My daughter dropped my iPad 2 on our hardwood floor last night and the screen turned completely green. It's old and out of warranty so I figured what did I have to lose... I banged it a few times on the kitchen table with no luck. Tonight I decided to try again on the dresser - really hard - and IT WORKED!!! The screen looks normal again.

This feed is a life saver!! But it wasn't my iPad but my iMac that was having the green screen issue- when I saw people said to tap or knock on the back I picked up a corner of my computer and lightly dropped it back onto the desk and like magic it was back to normal!! Thank you message board! Thank you God!

Woke this morning and hubs iPad had the dreaded green screen. Tried banging and nothing. Thought Santa was going to have a make a last minute trip to the Apple store. Gave it one last shot and knocked on the back several times. I figured if it was broke it couldn't hurt right? Well surprise, it worked! Has anyone who used this method ever had the green screen come back? Wondering if this is a temporary fix.

My Dad's iPad started flashing green then turning off recently. He was about to throw it in the trash when I came across this thread... gave it a few hard knocks and it didn't work 😟 Not wanting to give it up turned it over and gave it a few "light" knocks to the top left of the screen AND IT WORKED!! Thanks for saving my Dad from buying a new iPad!

If I have tried restoring it, rebooting it etc and its not under warranty, I'd try that. You'd still have to pay a fee for a replacement...

Backup and restore as new. If problem is still not solved, it's time to setup and appointment with Apple.

I had the same problem! Tried the 'banging it 3 times on the back trick' and it is fine.
