Does LED 27" Display support the newest MacBook?

Hello,

I'm going to buy Apple Cinema Display 27", and I will use it with the first unibody MacBook (5.1) from 2008. In the future, I'm going to change my MacBook for another with retina Display. I think I will do that change c.a. 2 or 3 years since now. Do you think the new MacBook will support my display? I dont want to buy ThunderBolt display becouse I dont have MacBook which support ThunderBolt.
