I purchased a Jamie appl and it keeps on crashing. No idea why as my software is updated.

Contact the developers. They are the people who provide support for their apps.
Same problem here, i contacted the developers but no answers. Did you solved the problem?.
The developers will reply, takes them some time but they will. They told me it was a bug in the app and the only thing to do was to ask for the money back.
I tried to get the money back through Apple, no reply!!!
It seems like a big trick to me :-/

Did you tried to restore the iPad? maybe it´s something that brakes a kind of software inside... i don´t know..
Yes, I did restore the iPhone and it still doesn't work :-/
I will try to restore it again but not sure it'll help :-/
