Pages stopped working and Works9 will not reinstall

My Pages program stopped working. Error says there is no library. I tried to re-install from my iWorks disc but installation failed. I then moved the whole iWorks program to Trash and tried to insall it fromt he disk again. Installation failed, says there is no library. Now I don't have Numbers either!!
