The bookmarks bar is missing from Safari.

The bookmarks bar is missing from Safari.

the actual bookmarks are still available under the pulldown menu but they don't appear across the top. I am running OSX 10.8.2. Everything was there until a day ago. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to get the bar back?

Try Safari>View>Show Bookmarks Bar.

Thanks for the input. It was actually even weirder than that. I ended up downloaded Safari and reinstalling it. that put everything back to the way it needed to be.
