Streaming server odd sounds

I'm getting some odd sounds on a MP4 stream. The link is:

http://www.wiu.edu/cofac/wiusfm/listenlive.php

The sound soesn't appear at the source. The sound is only heard through the streaming link above and through a custom iOS app.

Setup: Line-in from a campus radio station into a white 20-inch iMac with 10.5.8. Nicecast is sending the source to OS X 10.6.8 server QT Streaming Server.
