Q: can you use an @icloud.com & an @me.com address at the same time?

I've been using my @me.com email acct for several years now.  Is it possible to have an @icloud.com for personal use & keep my @me.com address for my business account?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Yes but they will all appear as your iCloud email: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5441

Note: No matter which address you choose to send email from, you will continue to receive all email sent to your @me.com, @mac.com, or @icloud.com email addresses directly in your iCloud inbox.

Would it be correct to say that this is nothing more than "association with current technology"?

@mac was the original format for Apple associted email

@me came along when Mobile Me was created

@icloud is not the latest generation of the Apple email address format

All three will filter to the "iCloud" mailbox associated with your Apple ID, therefore, all three are valid addresses and could be actively used?? It is completely up to the user as to which they prefer?

    Correction:

@icloud is now the latest generation of the Apple email address format

Exactly. For new subscribers and newly created aliases the format will be @icloud.com only.

My 2Yr contract is almost up & more than likely I will be switching to Straight talk & upgrading to a 5S as well as getting a MacBook ( some type of Mac laptop in near future ). If there is a change in carriers or lapse in time ( no more than say a month) will I loose my email accts.and basically have to start from scratch with user ID, etc...???
