When I login to my MacBook Air, I now get this error message about Photostream: "Photos for iCloud account "xxxxxxx@mac.com" cannot be accessed. Review you account information in System Preferences." I review my preferences

When I login to my MacBook Air, I now get this error message about Photostream: "Photos for iCloud account "xxxxxxx@mac.com" cannot be accessed. Review you account information in System Preferences." I review my preferences and cannot find a problem. I'm using the correct login. This just started happening - no obvious how to fix. Any ideas on what's happening here? I can't get rid of the error message. Thanks.

Same problem.


I suspect this has something to do with Apple providing me a new "@icloud.com" email address to go along with my "@mac.com" and later "@me.com" address. My Apple ID is still "@mac.com", so I presume I still need to log in as "@mac.com" in my user Apple ID settings.


Looking under "About this Mac" and then under "Software Installations" I believe the issue is:


iPhoto 9.4.2 installed 11/8/2012

Aperture 3.4.2 installed 11/8/2012


OSX 10.8.2 and thus using the App Store for software updates.

I have the same problem!! I tried all possible solutions, nothing solved the problem. This issue is quite serious and for me it seems to be huge. I just want my photostream back, I want to sign in, I want to use it the way I did before... but I constantly get the same message as written above. Anyone out there, who could help us with this problem???

I had the same problem. Then, i remembered that the problem occured after i opted for alternative xxx@icloud.com id.


For photostream on mac, i had icloud account setup as xxx@gmail.com which is my apple id. so, i logged out from my xxx@gmail.com id from mac. and then entered xxx@icloud.com id under accounts in my mac and guess what photostream started working again.
