I have an early imac without camera. computer keeps powering down on its own. I was told I have an older imac with an older chip that heats up newer imacs have a better chip that does not heat up what can I do to stop this mac from shutting down ?

Does anyone? know a fix for the random powerdown of my imac. I was told I have one of the first chips that runs hot and that may the problem.

Apple support has the oh well attitude we corrected the chip problem with a new one and those suckers that purchased this first model is S.O.L.

THEY DON'T CARE THEY GOT THERE MONEY.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.11), 2 ghz PowerPC G5
