Repair Permissions repairs no permissions.

Repair Permissions does not list the premissions that were repaired. Ever. The process runs for a few minutes with normal indications and finally announces that permissions have been repaired. No repaired permissions are listed, however. How can this be? The reason I ran Repair is that some program was acting goofy. After the repair, the program ran properly so it appears that something was "repaired." Thanks
